Ben is an associate attorney who handles a variety of case types, including personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, and medical malpractice.
Prior to law school, Ben served as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force, Ben planned, scheduled, and executed combat air operations in support of ground forces in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, conducted intelligence operations to counter North Korean provocations, and led the Air Force component of a multinational task force charged with interdicting narcotics in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific. After six-years of active-duty service, Ben began his legal career.
Ben received his juris doctorate from Mercer University, where he graduated magna cum laude (seventh in his class) and was a member of the Mercer Law Review. While in law school, Ben served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Verda Colvin in the Macon-Bibb County Superior Court and the Honorable Todd Markle in the Georgia Court of Appeals. Ben also gained experience with the Department of Justice, where he worked as a summer law intern in the Department’s commercial litigation branch and constitutional and specialized tort litigation section. During his third year of law school Ben interned at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia, where he gained experience litigating Federal Tort Claims Act cases.
After law school, Ben served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Marc T. Treadwell in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, where he gained extensive research and writing experience drafting orders on various civil and criminal matters. After a brief stint with a boutique business litigation firm in Atlanta, Ben joined Cook Law Group. When he is not working, Ben enjoys traveling and SCUBA diving.
